Carlisle Winery's 2007 Montafi Ranch Zinfandel →
I think is the best zinfandel I’ve ever tasted. I had this last weekend with Mangalitsa pork chops and forgot to add a note about it… but it was so good it deserves its own full post. I’ve had all of the classics, including the best Turleys and Martinellis from the 90s. This Carlisle is every bit as delicious and racy, but it’s also completely in balance. Wow.
