My very favorite oysters come from Barnstable, MA. I’m partly posting this photo to shame myself into continuing to improve my shucking skills, but for my tastes, oysters really don’t get any better than these in cold months. I got this batch at the Lobster Place; my plan was to write this post, tell everyone to go check them out, and go pick up a couple dozen more for this evening. Sadly, I just discovered that the Lobster Place is closed for renovations through mid-February. Time to find another supplier!
